Membership

For hope, for strength, for life. The spirit of Delta Gamma is embodied by this simple phrase; our fraternity gives its members a source of hope and strength in the form of sisterhood, from the moment they make the decision to accept their bid and pledge themselves to DG and beyond.

As collegiate members of Delta Gamma, we promised to uphold the ideals and values of the fraternity; in turn, Delta Gamma offers a lifetime of membership in an incredible organization. Membership in Delta Gamma does not end with graduation from university; rather, this milestone marks the next phase of commitment to our fraternity.
 
The Vancouver Alumnae Chapter strongly urges each of you to consider renewing your commitment to Delta Gamma by becoming a dues paying member. Throughout the past few years, our alumnae chapter has grown immensely and is proud to host many events each year for members to enjoy. From our annual “Wine and Cheese” to Founders Day to our team participation in the “Run for Light”, the Vancouver Delta Gamma alumnae’s continue to uphold the traditions of friendship, philanthropy and community involvement embodied by our founders.
 
This year marked the 80th anniversary of Delta Gamma’s presence at UBC; members celebrated this milestone event with a very special Founders Day celebration that brought together members from many different pledge classes. Some may not have seen each other in years, others may have never met somehow all were still inexplicably bound together by a mutual love for our Fraternity and a respect for the ideals of our founders;  three young women who started a club of “mutual helpfulness,” never knowing that it would evolve into so much more.
 
Levels of membership support are tiered: dues-paying members may choose to be Pink Members ($60), Blue Members ($50) or Bronze Members ($40) and are free to contribute as much or as little time to the Alumnae Chapter. Of the membership dues paid to the Alumnae Chapter, $20.50 will be paid to Executive Office to cover your per capita dues while the remainder will go towards ensuring our chapter continues to grow and strengthen!
 
Delta Gamma gave each of us so much during our years at university; wonderful memories, a sense of belonging and lifelong friendships so significant they can only be described as sisterhood. The Vancouver Alumnae Chapter knows that together we can continue this legacy by building a strong alumnae chapter of dues-paying members.
