Founders Day 2010 Recap

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2010 Founders’ Day celebration Sunday March 14 at Bridges on Granville Island!

For those unable to attend, it was a lovely morning with many members in attendance from both the collegiate and alumnae chapters. The morning began with an introduction by the respective chapter presidents and the Candle Lighting Ceremony. Then brunch was served as the collegiate VP: Communications kept the alumnae informed about all the great projects the active chapter members are currently involved with.

Collegiate and Alumnae awards came next. Notably, alumna Christie King was presented the prestigious Oxford Award- presented to only 146 individuals before her- for her volunteer work in the Vancouver community. Christie's generous spirit and philanthropy work has truly been an inspiration that has made a positive impact our community. Alumna Kristen Sali was also recognized by the collegiate chapter as Alumna Of The Year for her contribution to the Alpha Phi chapter.

The day, which ended with the Oath of Friendship, was a beautiful way for all members of Delta Gamma in the Vancouver area to come together and celebrate the Founders of our organization.
